im going to have 1 oscar in a 75 and would like to know some fish (dont have to be cichlids) that could work in the tank (dont have to get big either). preferably multiple smaller fish

that rule's all the fish out, OSCAR'S eat anything that will fit in it's mouth.

hmm he'll eat plecos and loaches and stuff? i meant they can be big i guess just cant be super aggressive, i just want the oscar to be the show fish.

I doubt he'll eat Plecos, larger ones anyway. The Loaches will definately be eaten though.

yup your best bet would be a school of silver dollars...

I have 5 6" oscars in a 180gal and 1 little 3" Raphal Catfish that i got when i first got the first oscar and they leave him alone. I dont care much for plecos, i hear they make more waste than they clean up and i think they are quite boring.

what woulc be a cool type of oscar?

How big is your O? Mine didnt get agressive till 6inches. I have 7 oscars and can tell you its a crapshoot as to wheather an oscar will kill his tankmates or not. I can say with 100% certanty it WILL eat what fits in it mouth. Some of mine I have to keep alone and others I have mixed with Jack dempseys, Green terrors, plecos of similar size. just try fish that are bigger than your O's mouth. With a 75 gal tank dont go too crazy thats not much room.

if you want a school of fish, silver dollars would make a fine choice. If you just want to add something else to the tank you have plenty of choices. i've always liked Jack Dempseys. tin foil barbs are also good.just some ideas.

All variants you get are still the same species.
