fish to keep with my 2 JD's

Hi, i have 2 juvie JDs (like 2") in a 55 (growout if needed) and i want another tank mate for them. They are very shy and when i approach the tank,they go hid, and i want something like a dither to try to get them more active. thanks

I would recommend Silver Dollars they stay pretty small around 5"s, you could probly do a school of 3.

oscars, texas, green terrors, jaguars... there are alot of options. are you looking for other large cichlids?

I would do something a little smaller unless you are upgrading soon. Firemouths, Salvinis, Blue Acaras. You could even go with a group of 3-4 clown loaches.

thats a good point, the clown loaches would definetly help get your jack out of hiding and they are little to no effort.

All these will force you to upgrade the tank though. If you go with a school of giant danios (6-8) you can stick with the 55 if you want. Otherwise plan on upgrading.
