Fish Usually Not Kept As Pets?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've kept a few darters.

I have this little guy. Any id? It's similar to the prickly sculpin posted earlier but from a canal here in Broward county FL. The water has a trace of salt but not enough to measure with a hydrometer... Doing great in pure freshwater! Eats flakes and pellets after only days in the tank

it dose look look close to my sculpin...but more goby like..dose it have one fin under its chin or two. .if its fused in to one it is some sort of goby sculpin have two.

I used to have a few Sunfish and a Madtom I caught in the creek down the road from me when I was little. If or when I get a native tank going I would like to get another Madtom I thought that was a really cool fish. I also had some Crawfish that I caught out of the creek to. We used to stock my elementary schools teachers fish tanks for them haha.

I mistakenly caught a leech once and I kept it for a while.

leechs are interesting creatures. They are nice to watch...and feed. I catched a big one and feed him with snails.

Chic I actually had him in a tank where nothing was big enough to eat him.
