As for as wholesale there is one in Northridge and another one in El Monte called Kokaho. Call for their hours before you go because they have weird hours and sometimes is only open for 4 hours on certain days.

what is the place in Northridge you are referring to called?

are fish wholesales supposed to be in horrible conditions. i expected to walk into a nice lighted warehouse with lighted tanks but i walked into a pretty shady room with dead fish and no lights. plecos and loaches were floating and jumping out. pretty crazy.

That is pretty much how most wholsalers are. That is why the fish are cheap. Most do not care to QT their fish. Most do not use meds to treat fish. They overstock the tanks, fins get nipped due to aggression.

Alot of people look for the deal of the century, but with that deal usually comes a price. That price may end up being an unhealthy fish. Certain things in life you should not go cheap on. When it comes to Livestock (especially fish), you get what you pay for.

Check out the place in Northridge. I'm not sure if they're still in business since the last time I was there was over 2 years ago. I think they're called Cichlid Paradise or something like that. They used to advertise on Recycler.com

Thanks man! I think it's Paradise Tropical Fish Inc??...there website appears to be down (www.ecichlids.com) but I'll go stop by the address and see if they are still in business. My Armatus has taken a liking to eating big fat tinfoil barbs and convicts and he already cleaned out almost all my adults...lol
