Ya.. it can be overwhelming..

Check all the how to's listed on the site. And remember to turn off the flash..and speed up the shutter to cut blur... After that it is understanding the iris f/stops to have enough light... GL bro..

And I am jealous.. I have the know how, but not the wealth to get a nice dslr

I hope you find away to get one man. Then i can look at some decent dslr picture's. I'm going to keep trying. I just get pissed, I'll take 200 pic's and ten are decent at best. It's no joke, I kinda miss the point and shoot day's. But i want Quality photo's, So i'll keep trying.
 
believe to get shots of fish like gatf you need an overhead flash

i too, take tonnes of shots only to get a few good ones. do you use a tripod?
 
my digital flashes twice so most of my pics the fish are going away sometimes after tons of pics i want to smash the thing into the wall!!:irked: the digital not fish:D

I've been told i need atleast a better flash. I assume ya'll are correct. And no sir i don't have a tripod.. You shot with one?

I'm looking for flashes next weekend. So we'll see. :)

I know the feeling. I've came close. Then the lady remind's me that's alot of money.
 
Turn the flash OFF (it can flash twice to act as a fill light)
Turn Red Eye reduction OFF ( this is the red pre flash)

Lighting is best diffused, meaning it is soft and fills the tank. An extra light over the tank should work, just make sure it not hard/direct like a spotlight on the subject.

You could just ship it to me instead....;)
