That's cool, I've always wanted a gar, but they get so big and feeding would be too much.

my catfish mainly eats floating pellets and sinking pellets also raw shrimp and many things you can throw into the tank

Thats what you said about the managuense I bought from you :irked:
Never ate one single pellet for the 3 weeks I had him.
He's gone to the LFS now, so no worries.
All fairness for the other party, please be honest.

Its a sort of bitter sweet deal. Bitter cause I hated the fish, but sweet cause that deal makes me laugh

im not sure whats wrong with the manny when he got to your place...all my other fishes eats everything when in my tank :) maybe you didn't give him the chance to acclimate for a few more extra days

well he did cause trouble so we both dislike how he has been acting :grinno: lol maybe its my tank water...maybe something in my tank makes them eat everything XD

btw lemonhead, what kind of pellets did you try giving him? when he was with me he only eat Cichlid Bio-gold and NLS

A pellet is a pellet. Anyway, Hikari bio gold all the way and cichlid excel. If a fish eats pellets, he will eat pellets with no problem. I'm sure 3 weeks is plenty of time to acclimate a managuense. IMO.

I suggest you show your "buyer" that your fish will eat pellets before selling.
I mean I could be wrong. I may just got stuck with a stubborn Jag.

All in all, he's gone now so don't worry about it.
I just wanted to give a heads up to your buyers. Its just respect to another fish keeper :D

Hey sure thing...but i don't see why when i sold my other fishes before and now they have been eating. That manny is a stubborn cichlid thats for sure, he chooses when to eat when he feels like it. If anyone buys a fish from me and has a doubt and thinks they have a problem that they may not eat thats fine they don't need it. Their is not any true LFS that has a perfect fish that would eat from just anyone. But with this kind of conversation here on my thread really makes people not have interest in it. I know your just saying it since the jag i gave just didn't like to eat from you but why make it like a scene? Thats just low bro...:( also even if I show the buyer that it eats and does in fact does it mean it would definitely eat when in your tank? I have had fish before that have not eaten for over a month then just gave in and eat everything. Thing's like these can't be concluded just by showing. You can't guarentee that it will eat...you have to be persistant with the fish everyday and every few hours to make it eat from you.

Naw.. I didn't intend to hurt your feelings or effect your sales. Don't get sensitive. What you sell is your business.
Just my .02
Good luck with your sales.
