Hi,

Need some help here. I have just noticed that the flowing tails my guppies, Cardinal Tetras, female Bettas are all going shorter and shorter by the day.
However, the tails of the emperor tetras, Plecos and Siamese algae eaters and Golden Algae Eater are all fine
Can anyone help?

I am running a 400L per minute canister, along with 2 sponge filters, 3 airstones, a 24w GKM and a tidal75 on this 4ft tank.

How long have you had all the fish? The Tetra are not Emperor Tetra.

Hi,i would suspect the emperor tetras...If you want to recover tails of your fishes, you must separate the emperor tetras from your other fishes!

Plecos and Siamese algae eaters should be good neighbours. But i would monitor golden algae eater and immediately remove emperor tetras from your aquarium.

I agree possibly the Tetra fin nipping. That's why I'm asking how long did you have all the fish.

Congo Tetras and guppies were like for a long time. Female bettas just recently.

Cardinal tetras' tails were all gone till they finally died.

The other fish was a tetra. I can't recall if it is an emperor or diamond tetra. It was added like 3 months back. It has a black stripe at the bottom

Had those black tetras for 3 months when they were little and now they grown. Guppies, female Bettas, Congo Tetras, Cardinal tetras all losing their tails before they died one after another recently.
