Fishing a shallow rocky river

Update. Caught a small one on the smaller grub on a small jighead, the one in the op.

Only on my jigs, like this
But i think the main problem isnt that the hook sticks into weeds/ wood, stuff like that, which the weedless hook or a weedless rig would prevent, its that the weight of the lure sinks it to the bottom where the whole lure gets stuck under a rock or in between rocks or somethin like that. Not sure if theres much i can do to help that though

have you tried small meps or rooster tails? always worked for me in northern arizona rivers where water was extremely shallow.. less than 3ft.
