Damn! nice fishing!

And all i here is about how bad fishing sucks in the UK?

In the UK we make the best of what we have Carp (carp fishing is huge) and Cats are the top thing, in coarse fishing but there is a lot of fly fishing for salmon trout and grayling. Then in the winter it Pike Zander and Perch or as you call them red fins.

Those are some nice pictures those carps put up a great fight that color on that last carp is pretty neat maybe because he's young.

Yes you are spot on the Wells or european catfish or as the french call them Silurus get Huge in Spain and France i have fished lakes in France for carp and seen 120lb ones come out.

The Wells Catfish is one of Europe 's largest freshwater fish. These catfish where introduced into Britain in the latter half of the Nineteenth century.

Growth is very rapid and they mature at about 5 years. Wells Catfish are known to live in excess of 30 years.

I know they have had some 200lb ers out of Spain this year.



Now that a propper fish (MFK Style) but as i said on the carp gear they give one hell of a fight as they can swim backwards

That black carp is cool I wonder if it will keep that coloring as it matures.

They look like wild carp but all the larger ones caught were golden like the one I caught but the small ones are black but then again if I was in a 1 acre pond with at least 2 50lb cats I think I would be trying to be as low key as possible.
