Fishing for Armatus

Thank Bro, I got him to eat 2 more chunks of tilipia 2days ago with hikari floating stick inside, And now today I Got him to eat 2-3 floating sticks. and plus got it on film but kinda crappy lol


Also I removed the lyonsi, now I just gotta move out some of the other stock...
 
I got my armatus to eat 2 chunks of tilapia and a couple of foodsticks....:headbang2 but now he dont touch tilapia....:screwy:

Good job! They prefer floating foot than sinking food. Don't worry. He eats both, so he'll get to tilapia again...

Thanks Man, For some odd reason, it freaks out like crazy when I drop a chunk in for him. he will freak out then eat it or sometime dont touch it

Also that breidohri gone now!, I added a couple dithers to eat the left overs. not in vid but Polypterus Retropinnis(recently picked up :D) and a Bronze ck that I had in a Growout :D
 
Hi bro, I would say don't worry for now. Before Armatus hit the 10" mark, they are pretty skittish.

Your presence beside the tank would likely spooked him more than the tank mates. : )
Just let it accustom your presence with food and soon this fella would be wriggling its tail for food when it sees you.
 
Don't worry about the confine space if it's temporarily. I did the same until it was big enough for main tank. If you get it to mouth it, then your good, only a matter of time before it consumes it. Just becareful of the Jar, known to be killers. Would hate to see u loose armatus $$ to jar $

Yeah what was weird was when i had it in a confined space, it didnt freak out when I feed him tilapia lol, now that I let him loose he goes crazy scared when I slowy drop the tilapia in. The jar is most likely gonna get moved to my bigger tank soon, Im really not that worried about it that much actually the armatus tries to school with him LOL, but only time there is aggression is when feeding. The fight for food sometimes.



Is it possible to add tat in there to chill him out? or will this make him worse
