The water was maybe 3 - 4 feet at most here. Put down 2 1/2 feet on a bobber with nightcrawlers.

Love this spot. Peaceful. Peakcocks and LArge Mouths Oscars, Blue tilapia, Gar. Thats where the Alligator Gar was too. Mayans. Actually saw a small salvini, Tilapia marie. Water is pretty clear most days too.

I went today by my spot in Glades .The water was max 4 inches high for first 10 feet near shore and most of the ponds fed by canals were 100%dry .

I saw several Mozambique talipia spawning (sand pits) in the deep areas. As usual not one bit lol but did catch over 10 large Jags using earthworms.

I swear yall down there in florida are lucky cause yall can catch all types of cichlids plus the LMB grow so much bigger then they do here

great looking jag . i went out to my favorite spot today also , saw alot of bass but these two small (3-5') gators kept messing with the fish so they wouldnt bite .

I have seen real big LMB esp by lake okochobee but unless your a pro or close to it they dont bite.

I have caught small/med LMB but nothing like the 15lb plus some catch. I have seen huge but they ignore lures and just swim by.

These big fish are smart . Smarter than I am lol and smarter than many I know who try to catch them .My father in law being one of them lol.

Rare are the people who catch these big fish.

Lots of med lmb but not many big boys caught and they are there but they just dont bite.

I am lucky as the gators in areas I go to flee as soon as you start fishing.

I might head out to Robs area Broward next week to try to catch Salvini.

Have you ever caught Mozambique talipia ? I might wind up breaking my rod over my knee if I continue to attempt to catch them lol.

I just cant get adult lipped males to bite.

Nice Jags. I see quiet a few Mozambiques and they either ignore or run from the lures. I am bound to catch something in this one spot other than mayan and the clarias cat before the summer is over.

My netting spot is blocked off right now where I usually net salvini so I am waiting for the construction to be done

awesome! Please go catch more to share! I am so jealous!

Caught some regular ole LMBs. Medium to small size. The big boys were just over the drop off on the lake but only one chased but a small one grabbed it before he did.

Huge carp in this lake too. 3 feet easily.

In the canal on the other side Tarpon were rolling all afternoon while Im stuck at work.
