i think p line and ugly braid are the only braids i havnt used

I heard Ugly braids sucks the uber butthole.

I've chewed to many guides up with braid so i went back to mono. Actually its mono and flourocarbon hybrid line and its awesome! Yo-Zuri Hybrid is the name its the best! But Straight Flourocarbon is the best leader material around. I found seaguar to be the best. I catch more with flouro leader.

saltwater I used 80lb moss green powerpro with flouro leaders, Surf fishing I use either red or yellow 80lb powerpro again with flouro leaders (if any at all), and fresh water I am using 20 or 40lb spiderwire braid "clear". If anyone is ever in the southern NC beach area let me know and I will take you out! The blues should be here soon and I hope to do as well as I did last year, with the highlight being a 24" monster!

could be very possible i know shakespeare supreme line is some of the best non braid line ive used besides stren.

Really depends on the application as what line is the best. I was a fishing guide in ak for over ten years and have used it all. Imo, and that is what it comes down to is opinion, braids (Tuffline or Power Pro are my favs) are the best for bottom fishing as you can feel every rock and nibble, even 400 feet down. If you need to set the hook at that depth, you can. Impossible with mono cause of the line stretch. Mono is the way to go when trolling for salmon. The stretch actually helps you keep more fish on da hook as salmon have relatively soft mouths.

All and all it depends what you want to go for and how you are going for it.
