FISHING SEASON 2K11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FISHING SEASON 2K10 was a great season with a grand total of 925 fish landed. Landing two five pounders and my first northern were the top three highlights of the season for me! Plus I witnessed my shipmate(Dennis) land a 10.0 Northen also!

This year my goals are to land atleast one 6 pound LMB and to land a musky!

I'll start off with the first post of the year with a update from today!

1-2

Today NJ had a high of 51 so I made some time to pick up a 2K11 fishing license and see if I could find some unthawed water to play with my new toys. First stop of the day was "Etra" it still had ice on the shore line but the middle was open. I didnt care I had to cast. The "curado" seems to be everything I throught it would be and paired with the "abu garcia Veritas" 6'6 MH makes for one nice combo, I cant wait to feel it under load! Also I broke in a cheap Johhny Morris I brought on sale at Bass Pro. Its a nice reel for the money!
The second thing I founded unthawed was the D&R canal(whitehead rd) but I didnt see any action there either. No fished landed but it fought so GOOD to be fishing!!!

Its a little early but the hunt for my first fish is on!!

nice! I wish I could fish right now, no open seasons right now except ice fishing and we don't have any ice yet

I got a new fly rod for xmas 2 ounces and with the reel on it the center of gravity is on the handle so I can balance it on my finger tip with ease
its by far my nicest rod to date, man I can't wait to catch some big brookies this spring!!

Yeah the ich can get pretty strong but your time will come!!

brookies, sea trout, steelhead, rainbows, samon I cant wait to get my hands on one of em no matter how big or small

I know I want to get the 5lbs brookie that got away last year as this time I have a net so it can't flop out of my hands hopefully it will be 6lbs this year lol

so what are your target fish this year?

This weeks fish of choice will be steelhead. I use a gloomis spinning rod and not a fly rod though.
