well went after some channels today and had one quick run and the fish let go... I hate to say it, but i am too cold and done for the year likely. Will resume fishing the week of Christmas on Lake Toho and then likely not again until march!
I do have some tackle coming my way as we speak. Another Ming Yang CL70A and R2 War rod as well as an okuma avenger abf50 with a 9' Shimano FX rod (mostly for carp fishing)

I hear you Jworth, I just went an picked up my truck and said "man it's frezzing" . I would love to have a great weekend of fishing but chances are it will be super slow. Either way im going to give it shot tomorrow.......
giving it on last heave tomorrow morning going after some bass and crappie. here's to hoping i can get at least one last bass on the year ill settle for a dink

Dad caught this monster 14" crappie this morning. We caught a 2 others around 8-9", 2 small channel cats, a tiny lmb, and a handful of small yellow perch. Not bad for 40 degrees out. We are trying to hit the potomac river one last time for blue cats before the year is up. Dads got a week of pto to use or lose by dec 31 and my semester is almost over.
Josh, jealous of your rods i need to get myself some nice rods for bluecats. i love my shakepeare catfish rods for flatheads/channels but they would hard pressed to move a stubborn 40+lber i think.

Fish landed-I-7/Dennis-5
Today D and I went to my lakewood for the first time this year. We were on the water at 7:30 and D broke the ice with what I suspect to be a "sucker fish" ? My first came in the form of a crappie a few minutes later. From there Dennis lannded a nice one pound crappie, small LMB, and three YP. By the time 2:30pm came around It was 5-3 cause I was only able to land two YP. I was restless and started packing up but I decided to threw the crank bait(1.5) alittle and founded out the CP had finally came to play. I landed 4 of them in a hour and half and let two get off the hook.For December 3rd, it was a pretty good day.
