Fish landed-I-6/Big bruh-1
Did some lake hopping with my big brother. First stop was bakers basin where I was able to land 2 small ones. Then we went to my new spot that Ive been killing them at. Well that streak ended cause nobody even got a bite. We left there and went to Brainerd lake in Cranberry. Where I was able to land four more dings and big bruh banged a monster CP on a #5 Mepps !!!
All dings but ha it beats a shunk !!!

First boat trip of the year: Battle of Hightstown !!!
The day started at "Etra" at 2pm. By 3:30 I had only landed two fish(spinny), so im making my rounds on the shoreline and im like as a collective the fish dont seem to be there. So right now the water is like 2-3 depper then usual, I say that to say that its a part of the lake that goes from about 6ft to like 1ft then its all grass. So as we are approaching the grass line I look down to my fish finder and its lit up with fish but their all around the 4ft mark. So I put down the spinny and pick up a KVD 1.5 that I just brought a couple days ago and sure enough that was apart of the puzzle that I had been missing. I banged 4 fish in 7 cast all off the grass line. Before we left at 5:30 I banged 3 more and big bruh landed two.
Packed up and hopped over to "Peddie lake". We fished from 6-7:30pm and I banged 8 more(spinny) dings that all ranged from 7-15"s. The funny part of the story is at one spot they were on the grass line but here(Peddie) they were in VERY tight next to brush piles/laydowns. Either way I had alot of fun on my first time taking my boat this year !!!
Battle of hightstown results. 9 fish in 3.5 hours at Etra, and 8 fish at Peddie in 1.5 hours. I say Peddie wins hands down !!!
Nothing big but 17 fish in 5 hours is a great day for NJ !!!!!

took the boat out last night to make sure it was running good. high winds and 2ft waves made it hard to hold the anchor. Catfish are in kinda shallow caught 7 channels in about 9 feet of water before heading in

Went out today looking for some bass saw some bigger gils swim by so I pulled the light tackel out and pulled in some gills greens what I think to be hybrids and one small crappie, total of 12. Then picked the bass rod back up and pulled 3 bass out still nothing big. Pics from yesterday and today.
King try tying a leader to your hooks/jigs or whatever else when fishing with braid...
1. Mono or fluorocarbon is nearly invisible under water, while braid is not
2. Braid is nowhere near abrasive resistant as the other 2 and will snap alot easier, specially if your fishing by rocks.
Try to learn the uni to uni knot, it works great for tying leaders, and is very simple once you get it down.

By "last night" i meant until around 9pm, too cold and windy to stay out much later right now, but were starting to catch the crap out of them again. That's 17 in less than a week and i have my first catfish tournament of the year saturday hopefully if everything goes well.
