Went out for a little over an hour caught a blue gill and a nice 14.5" crappie! My biggest crappie ever just a bit over 2lbs.




5-1-11
Took a quick hour break from studing and prep for a presentation to wet the line a little bit 3rd cast a landed this 16" left about 20 mins after that.

She sure was a nice slab. A guy that was fishing a little ways down from me who was fishing for crappie went nuts when he saw me put her back lol

because cathfish are uncommon in my area,I am going to fish for Eels,Bream and Carp.

awesome, hope to hit the river tonight myself for alittle while. need to do a head count on the dam first though.

aren't there any place's nearby where the mainstream of the river has less influence on the water?
such as small sidepools our men digged canals?

Went out today again. OUTSTANDING FISHING TODAY!!! I caught... well, I took my sis fishing, and she and I caught about 5 Rock Bass, all at least 3/4 lb! My sis even hooked up with a 3-5 pounder, but her line broke before she could pull it in. Also, a pleasant surprise, a Black Crappie, which aren't abundant where I fish. Also caught: 3 Bluegill, 2 Yellow Perch.

there isnt awhole lot of anything besides straight below the dam. no canals or coves. nothing without driving like 40 mins anyways.
