First Trip of the year, went in February when the water was still about 30 degrees - caught a good amount of crappie and a couple small bass i believe the date was 2/15 should show up on the picture, caught a solid bullhead too, pushing 19"
*NOTE, I DO NOT TYPICALLY KEEP BASS TO EAT, HE WAS GILL HOOKED AND WOULDA DIED ANYWAYS*
2nd trip of the year, got a hold of this big bass - surprised the heck out of me as i was still just crappie fishing not expecting the big boys to be out yet
A little later on near the end of february my friend came up for the weekend to fish, the night he got there we went out and i caught this bad boy, water still high 30s:

The next day was hands down the most productive bass day of the season for me, I landed 17 fish 1lb+ and my friend landed about 8 with another friend landing about 10. Started the morning off with these 2 bad boys and it was just consistent fishing from there, also had one monster around 7lbs break off right after catching the 2 that started the morning, he jumped head shook and that was all she wrote:

then it went a little something like this:

I had to go a lot less in march and didn't catch a ton of fish, caught a few 2lbers and under here and there but not a lot picture worthy, little did i know what was gonna await me one morning in april.... Went out bright and early and started the morning very confused:
Bullhead on my spinnerbait! haha.. it got real after that... pulled in this guy and woulda been happy for the day:
was a solid fish.. no complaints... little did i know that day i'd be pulling in the biggest bass of my life, without further adieu:

I don't carry a scale with me when I fish, but I do carry a tape measure. Fish was 27.5" long, had a girth of 19", and was SLAM full of eggs, im guessing with eggs it was at least 8.5lbs if not more, im 6'6 if that puts the fish in perspective
After that I've had some good and bad times, had a fishing tournament about 4 days after catching my big bass, had one get off that was easily 6.5, spit the hook when it surfaced and the winner ended up being like a 2lber, was a really tough day of fishing. Also had a big bass get off that was bigger than my biggest of my life at another pond, spit the lure right at the shore mouth looked like a dinner plate opened up... Overall it's been a great season of fishing even though school and work have kept me off the water a lot over the last couple months.. Thanks for looking
