Bjay, Josa, and I went to out to the D&R canal for about hour and half !!!
I walked pass about 500ft of water to get to this spot where a under water pipe creates a heavy current and cause of the pipe its deep with bolders around !!!
I banged 2 on a DT-4, and 2 on a #5 Mepps, Bjay landed 2 on a #5 also.
A decent trip !!

Caught my first fish out of the Franklin Lakes Reservoir yesterday. Finally getting some action!

What a tease I'm waiting on my collection permit and for the spring spawn so I can get some perch for my tank. Nice fish though. The lakes are still frozen over here...and the rain made river fishing practically impossible.

got out for a little bit and by the time i caught there my bro caught a 6-7lb blue and my cousin caught a 15lb blue. I ended up catching a 5 pound blue

After a pretty unsuccessful ice fishing season I couldn't wait to hit the streams this spring in the adirondacks. April second I went out an hit a well known river, the Kayderosserass, all day and didn't catch a damn thing except a cold. Talked to a lot of other fishermen too and no one saw anything. Today, the 13th of April we've had a few warm days and a some rain. I had about a half hour to kill so I hit a little no name creek this evening that I drive past every day. 20 minutes later I had pulled in 7 beautiful little browns.
good job, glad you finally had a successful trip. i know how frustrating it can be going out and not catching anything.
Caught this big girl in my cast net by accident.
20" 5lb 6oz and fat with eggs.
if i knew the bass were bedding that shallow or this early i would of been fishing for them. i also caught her boyfriend about 2 hours later, he was only 16" and 2lb 12oz.
as for the rod and reel? were biting, got 3 bullhead catfish on worms (bored) and 1 channel catfish.
