  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
CF keep your head up man take a real man to notice that he has to make some changes and put himself after others. Nice catches!

Dreams I feel the same way. At first I just want to land any size pike before I left here but after I got that little guy I wasn't going to stop till I got a good one.

I'm probably going to head out today gotta get away from this dam homework and finals crap. Like you said CF the bass in my area are right up on the bank and some are monsters! I'll take the camera today and see if I can get some good pics of the pigs laying around.

Thanks boss !!

Got a chance to hit the flats this morning. Did pretty good, fish were stacked up on patchy areas of grass and were eating live shrimp under cajun thunders. Ended up with three big gator trout around 24", many other nice keeper trout in the 17" range, several redfish just short of slot and one slot red that went 22".

It was a great day to be out there, water was crystal clear and the weather was perfect. Had a 4ft bonnet head shark swim right up to me, thought he was going to get my fish.

Man i live in florida but im jealous of the flats fishing you guys have up there for redfish and trout!

My biggest ever trout was probably around 23" and although they dont put up that great of a fight they sure are tasty!

To me trout under 20" cant fight at all, but over 20" they seem to fight better. Redfish on the other hand are some beasts. Every redfish I catch I am amazed at their power and endurance from a fish that just seems so unathletic, if that is a word.

I was using a 24kt Gold Carrot Stix and a Stradic Ci4 3000 loaded with 6lb test, needless to say even the smaller trout were a battle! The reds sure gave the Ci4s drag a work out all day!

I love the Ci4's but have yet to buy one. Must be from not going fishing in a while.

I have a stradic 2500 FI on a shimano Crucial 6-12 lb spinning rod with 8 lb braid.

Light tackle is the way to go!

JD sounds like you had a gread day. I can't wait to one day fish for bones reds and tarpon.

The gf and I went out to day she went for a 2 mile jog then picked up her rod and caught up to me and we hit a few bass today. I landed 5 she landed 2. Her first 2 bass over 12" she was pumped up. She is no longer a city girl :)

Oh yeah we landed a double!

Then I hit this pig.

here you go KINGZ

took the boat out today. Hit the warm water discharge and went to check on my favorite flathead hole but the current was way tooo much.

my buddy matt got a nice 7lber and my dad managed an even nicer 29" 11lb 8oz male. we got a bunch of others between 2-4lbs and even some smaller but i didnt have no luck. threw big baits for my flatheads but couldnt find any.
