Went out last Sunday for some American Shad fishing at Freeport, Sacramento. Super fun experience and caught around 15. These Shads were are great fighters, unlike lake trouts and bass. Caught all fishes on small little jigs. Super fun, plan on going again next week if the bite doesn't die off. :)

Sorry for the crappy picture... I should of got a picture of the fish. (This one was just a baby, we caught some that were 20" plus.)

That must be a wild little fight!

Texas rigged worms, Jitterbugs and a couple crankbaits that work mid-level. Each seem to work on different days. I'm still blown away by cichlid fiends fish. Dude racks them up. I noticed he got one on the buzz bait, that thing gives me fits. I know they work but I have never caught anything on either a buzz or a spinner. Must be something about my presentation. I'm looking forward to figuring those out.

Yeah me too. I've never got anything on a spinnerbait until I got here. Still havent got anyting on the buzzbait. Yeah CF is out there racking them up like crazy. Right now for me it seems like the bass have just gone away. I didnt cathch anything but a dam carp and 1 little crappie. The car was nice though.

Whats goody fella's !!

Well for me I'm seating in DMV bored to death. Anyway I see alot y'all aren't able to catch nothing on the buzzy. Yes I'm a great fisherman(lol) but it's a few things yall need to take into consideration when it come to the buzzy. The most important thing is it's not the greatest open water lure. Most of my catches come on parallel cast right on the bank. Second thing is time of day/ fish activity. When your on a boat the buzzy maybe the only thing that will call them out of their hiding places, such as brush piles and laydowns. I love the buzzy bite so much and is very confident with using it. If your casting something your not confident in, you probably not going to catch with it. Just my opinions but to each his own or how ever the saying goes. Either way " Fishing is the ish" !!

Went out yesterday and caught about 20 bluegill biggest at about 10 and a half inches ( its a private pond and produces monsters) about 7 or so bass biggest about 17 and 5 or so crappie biggest about 14 ( also monster crappie here)

Fish landed-15

5-17 was a 3 and half hour trip to the D&R(Province Line RD) after work was so slow I got off by 10:30(F'ing Recession). Anyway I fished the buzzy up and the dinger back. The buzzy banged 5 and the dinger landed 2 with one of them being my second CP of the year !!

5-18(today) was a two hour trip to my little spot in Princeton after picking up my dude up from school. So I start out with the buzzy and missed a few little ones. I could clearly see the bigger fish were in spawn mode/fry protecting mode so I pulled out dinger in hopes of getting a reaction from them but I got the some results and that was NOTHING. So I tied the dinger on again and even though I had a couple little ones on, I wasnt impressed. Then it dawned on me that the little bass were running down on the baby blue gills, so I went into my bag of tricks and pulled out the 1/4oz all white booyah spinner bait. Sure enough that was the ticket cause I missed about five of them before I could get a good hook set on my first. I went on to land 7 more little guys with the biggest being around 13 inches. I let my dude reel in three of them, he did pretty good too !!!!

Nothing big but decent numbers !!!! :headbang2

Nice CF! I'll be going out tomorrow with my bro he came out here for my graduation but he came early so we could do some fishing. Looks like your still getting them on the buzz I might throw one for a little bit tomorrow.

just got back from bridgeport ca eastern sierra trip. fishing was extremely slow for the most part. run off is way high n fast due to all the snow we got this year but should make for a great extended fishing season. cant wait to get back up there. east walker way fast but i landed a nice 2 lb brown out of there on a panther m. upper twin slow only a few bows, beaver dams skunked grrr west walker way too fast n runn off made the stream too wide didnt even drop a line. rush creek was nice flowing good pulled a nice cuthroat and a few bows out. silver windy as hell didnt fish. pulled asmall bow out of reverse creek. robinson i murdered pulled over 30 trout in 2 hours. barbless hooks work wonders when pulling that amount. honeymoon flats was dead didnt even feel my line bounce off a rock lol. heading back to bishop in 3 weeks to hit intake and the creek i landed a 3 lb alpers out of the tunnel. it was nice! thats my recent fishing report =) all on my 4'6 shimano high action and phlueger pres mini. 2 lb test.
