Fish landed-11

6-12 was a two hour trip to "The college of NJ". I usually only fish the front lake but after about 20 minutes and missing the only bite I had I walked to the back lake. I was able to land one on the popper and two with the chatter !

6-13(today) I went to "Bakers basin" after work around 6:30. It started off slow but I was able to land 8 with two of them being two pounders, a 2,3 and a 2.7 !!!

Nothing really to brag about but I had some fun !!!! :headbang2

Awesome catches! NIgth fishn for bass can be very productive. Good job! DO you fish big plastics much?

Saturday night into Sunday was my catfish tournament on the susquehanna river above conowingo dam. Rough weather made for a bad night of fishing, hard rain and winds. We did manage to boat a few small fish, biggest being almost 7lbs. Total weight of 11.15lbs and took 3rd place. we missed second by only 8oz (half lb) and 1st by 1lb 4oz. There is another tournament on this stretch of river in august and im coming back for 1st.

Monday Night, fished our normal pier. managed this nice bass of 2.4lbs 17" probably the biggest ive ever caught. Still frustrated about the tournament, 1lb 4oz isnt alot of catfish. Ive pulled bigger fish from this river so many times!!! ARGH, we should of had it!

Fish landed-5

Didnt plan on doing any fishing today cause I had been putting off washing cloths since Sunday but once I put the first load in I went up the to street to "Stacy Park". It is a little pond that I fished alot when I was younger but I thought the "BUCKET BUTTS" had killed the pond cause Ive been there four times this year and I only seen one 12" bass caught. So today I go there reallly thinking that I was just going to waste some time throwing my popper around but on the fourth cast BAM, landed an 8"er then about 10 minutes later I banged a 10'er ! After that an older dude came out there and on his third cast he let a three pounder get off. Once I seen that, I was blown away cause I didnt think it was it was any fish of size left in this place. After that, between loads I retuned twice. I watched the dude land three and I banged two more also. On my last return trip it was starting to get dark so I wanted to see if any bigger fish were on the move so I put the popper away and pulled out the big fish catcher(chatter bait), so I made a cast next to a brush pile that was seating it like 5"s of water and before I could in gauge the reel the fish was on. It was like I threw that bait in his mouth, needless to say it happen so fast I didnt really set the hook and the nice three to four pounder was able to jump and spit my bait out. I was very disappointed in myself, but ha you cant get them all !!!

Another fun day of fishing !!!!

very cool catch.
what setup are you using and how do you guys rig for sharks like that? We catch a lot of sharks as well here in So Cal but most of them are way smaller species like Horn sharks, leopard sharks and smooth hound sharks. Would love to catch a big 1 like that from our surf.
