FISHING SEASON 2K11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
it was just a hair under 10lbs. Heading back to that spot on Thursday. That was my third time there this season and I just figured out how to keep from getting snagged off all the time. Now I only break off about half of the time haha. That sucker hit the second that the sun went down and sent my clicker screaming. I was waded out in waist deep water to throw at that hole. Lots of fun, especially landing it in waist deep water.

have been fishing back in the creek behind my house the last 3 days have caught about 10 bullhead 5 or 6 drum a crappie a bluegill and a 3 or so pound channel cat
how i caught the channel was kinda crazy cause i had my bail open not paying attention to that rod and he spooled me and i didnt notice and snapped the line on accident cause my knot broke so i went down stream and walked out on a log a foot or so and i grabbed my line and hand lined him up the creek

man... i wish i could find a catfishing hole where a 15lber is fish 'not cooperating' haha, biggest cat we ever caught when i was a kid was about an 18lb channel. i've really got to start finding some good places to go :P

had a great day caught 20 bows and 4 brookies, the bows are certainly not picky when it comes to flies the buggers ruined half a dozen of em

At least you got into some. Good fishing areas are hard to come by around me and quality flathead spots aren't overly abundant either. Maybe I'm just not that smart. Where are the pics?

where I live brook trout are still king, with 6 and 7 pound fish are not uncommon, and on a few rivers we have bows which were accidentally released, these bows were of steelhead strain so there are some great steelhead rivers with 10 pound fish being caught every year.
Not to mention some great atlantic salmon rivers
but yep thats all we got here

and heres some pics of the little bows I got

Fish landed-8

7-2 was a hour an and a half trip in NC......

7-4 was a 8 hour boat trip with a fellow MFK'er(NCStateFisher) on Lake Johnson,he styaed out there with me for 5 hours. SLow day but he banged a 6.5 on his second cast and banged 3 before giving up at 2pm......

7-5 I headed home and my first stop back in NJ was at the D&R canal to meet up with my boy Dennis. I banged 3 on the popper(decent CP) and D got one the worm......

7-6(today) was a trip to one of my throw back spots. The Pennsylvania D&R canal, this spot is what set my passion in motion. I knew nothing but "trick worms" but with the amount of cover it offers I had some really good days there early on. Then about two years ago they drained it and it hasnt been the same but I decided to give it a shot anyway. The water was muddy and after walking about 80% of a mile with the spinny and only landing a small one, I switched to the dinger. I banged two little ones and missed 6, they were little 4 inchers with alot of heart that come up out of the grass and smashed the dinger like a big dog......

Decent times.......
