Just caught this 12" crappie. Heading over to the bashakill in about 5 minutes.

Just caught this 12" crappie. Heading over to the bashakill in about 5 minutes.

Got the fish finder installed successfully and spent the last two days out in the Gulf looking for new non-public bottom spots. I did find one but it was small with very little relief. Managed a couple keeper black sea bass on it and a couple short triggers. No red snapper which is what I am trying to find because snapper season opens in a few days.
While looking for bottom spots I was of course trolling. I caught several kings and some bonita. No mahi but my dad did lose a nice one today yak side. The water is the bluest Ive ever seen, its unreal, usually water that blue is at least thirty miles out.
I had a close encounter with a dolphin. He came right up to me, started flipping his head back and forth and blowing bubbles. He then swam right around me for a little while. Cool to see in the crystal clear water.

Caught this monster bass after about 3 hours of casting out on my kayak. She was loaded with eggs. I had a bigger one on my line but he jumped off

it looks about 9inch
The pic was messed up because he flopped off the hook onto the ground. But, he was like 11 1/2"

Really? She was fat! And full of eggs so probably heavier. But she was hurting my hand because she weighed so much. She was heavy!
