going out tomorrow fish for big channels on the upper upper susquehanna. 12lbers are pretty common with 15+lbers mixed in quite often.

good luck! Hope to start seeing some pics of nice cats in good quantities soon... Our rivers are well over 50 degrees now.
well aren't you special! haha if i was willing to fish river systems i bet i could find some bigger cats but for now i'll stick to my lakes and the occasional catfish fry
lengthy drive and a lack of knowledge in all honesty. I do plan to fish the cape fear sometime this year but I just don't have the equipment or funds to spend on the equipment to fish heavy currents
Caught several dink bass today in a local pond. This is my usual bluegill hole but channels and bass are decent size. There was a monster bass that kept hitting the surface in the same spot for about an hour. Couldn't get it to bite.
Do some icefishing last month ago. Caught my first lake trout, she was about 5 pounds. Went to do some icefishing for smelt for first time...crazy smelt action and saw someone pulled a 12" smelt!!!!

Fishing tomorrow at a lake full of small cats and carp, a few big ones sprinkled in. Gonna see what I can catch and maybe net some shad too.
butthurt much? haha - they're nice trout man that rainbow is a monster! i dont know enough about fishing for smelt to know what i'm looking at as far as size goes, do you catch them to use as bait?
