FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
chatter baits work well in ponds around here too. I use a craw trailer.

Caught some bluegill today and cut one up for bait for channel cats. Had a couple nice bumps and bites but no takers.

Ok, I have some lipless cranks and some regular cranks along with in-line spinners. Hoping that the fish are hitting and are at least within casting distance! I'll probably be heading out within the hour, wish me luck!

Well, I didn't catch anything yesterday, but ended up reeling in a 7 foot tree branch I snagged. I don't know how I managed not to snap my line on it. I just had to take a picture of it!

Had perfect surf conditions so hit the beach for a couple hours. Got three reds all over slot including this one at 32". The man o war jellies were washing up every where which made walking in the dark kind of nerve racking but luckily I just happened to have tennis shoes on (usually go barefoot) and they make a pop just like bubble wrap when you actually step on them!

I also broke off a monster, probably a big bull red. I fought him for about five minutes. My main line is only 10lb test but my dropper rigs are made out of 25lb fluro. The fish broke one of the dropper knots, weird. All fish were caught on frozen sand fleas.

I use 8 lb Nanofil. My hook did bend a bit, the log was only a few feet off the shore so it was somewhat easy to bring it in.
