FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Josh i gave up on those rods/reels, other things i had to take care of first with my money. The ugly cats with work fine on blues, just need to take it easy. They will be alot more fun that way anyways. Hit the pier with my lady for a few hours this afternoon, nothing. Left early and we caught some chubs, better than getting skunked.

Went out for like an hour landed one missed one my girl caught a 6-7lb bass but it jumped out of my hands and made its way too fast to the pond before I could grab it do no pic

Those ugly cats will do fine on blues. I've read a lot of people say that they use them to drift for trophy blues and some people say thats all they use them for because they are too stiff. Its all preference. Loosen the drag a little and I am not sure there is a fish that those rods can't handle fresh or salt! Cant wait for Thursday fishing!!

@jp glad it was a carp.. i was gonna have to shred your man card A) for dropping a bass B) for dropping a very nice bass and C) for dropping somebody ELSE'S very nice bass. hahahaha

REAL slow weekend in the mid atlantic for us.

I swung by the bumpy oak rd pond on saturday early to get to get some snakeheads. Brought an arsenal of different lures that people have had success with and had absolutely no luck. It was overcast and cold the entire time, threatening to rain. Ran into a few other fishermen there who said they've had luck on previous trips. It's full of eurasian watermilfoil and hydrilla, so weedless lures were the only options. I've read the snakeheads hit best on hot sunny days so I'll be going back when the forecast is a bit better! I did see one or two in the shallows that darted as soon as I walked by.

Went to Lake Needwood in Montgomery County for the afternoon. Another big swing and a miss. However they were running a tough mudder or something similar there, so people were in and out of the lake, there were adults with RC boats and one guy doing high speed laps in a pontoon boat for seemingly no reason. Lots of distraction and commotion = no bites. The lake is said to be stocked fairly well. Not sure I'll be going back with all the commotion on that lake.

Lots of friends fished the weekend for Rockfish and all returned skunked. Brutal fishing weekend for us. The weather should be gorgeous all week though, I plan on heading back to that snakehead pond one afternoon to see if I can get into 'em.
