going fishing for the first time in july and I don't think I've caught a bass since may... work has kept me pretty busy, hoping to hook in to something that can pull back a little
I haven't been genuinely bass fishing since FL in February until last Sunday smallies fishing and it was genuinely a blast. Haven't seen ya around much. Go catch something
Scooted out of work early yesterday and pulled the boat over to a lake about an hour away. Lake Sarah, is small and I think the fishing pressure is limited because there are a handful of good sized fishing lakes nearby. That was one of the reasons I chose Sarah.
We got out at about 330 and it was about 92 degrees F. Blazing hot, but I was glad to be there vs at work. We had some pretty good luck. We fished for about 4 hours and I don't think we went more than 10 minutes without catching a fish. It was awesome. I bet we landed ~25 pike. We caught 2 walleyes and 2 bass as well. A great night and we brought home some for the frying pan.
well, i didn't catch didley and my nephew showed me up BIG TIME!!! 6.5lbs of CUT BAIT BASS ON A SIZE 8 HOOK >_<!!!!!
friggin cut bluegill on a teeny bream hook... the fish tangled itself on the dock and i had to reach in all the way to my shoulder, stick my hand down the fishes mouth and the other hand cradle it out, as I was lifting it the hook fell out. Was a good memory for sure! Maybe next time i'll catch some fish!!!!
Went catfishing last night, caught a 30" channel catfish on a redhorse cutbait. I had three cats on a dogfish cutbait last weekend but all are under 20".
