No, I sold out till I get a house and I plan on a 1000 gallon. Not fishing much because I'm visiting at the hospital two to three times a day every day for the past 6 weeks so fishing time is limited. I'm going to try to get out twice this week.

You have piranha in that lake Kevin? Or a big turtle problem?

Can anyone tell me how much mono to put on my baitcaster? Its for backing of braid. Going to take off my 10 lb braid and replace it with other 10 lb braid I just bought. Also bought 12 lb mono and a bunch of new lures.

And how can I connect the two lines? Would a blood knot work?

for freshwater i typically like about 25-30 yards of mono backing and use a slim beauty or uni to uni knot to connect the two lines and the leader. be careful with that 10lb test braid on a baitcaster thats some seriously thin diameter so if you dont tune it up right thats gonna be the backlash from hell

Yeah and it can dig in deep if you get a nice fish

Ya I was practicing my casting for a couple hours yesterday in my yard and I was getting pretty good at it. But, when I do get backlashes they are much smaller than previously with some berkley cheap big game line. This stuff is way better. Im getting pretty good at it and I hope to head to the passaic this week to fish. Got a lot of new stuff today too. I put about 1 cast worth of 12 lb mono and the 150 yards of braid nearly filled it. Looking good. Cant wait to use it. I think in total all the stuff I bough today costed me like $70 and it was all totally worth it. Cant wait to use it all. Heres a link with the photos of everything and a couple pictures of the reel with new line
