caught a half dozen small bass today and 4 in the 1-2lb range yesterday. hoping ill ever hook in to a nice bass again
Maybe that one u lost. Always good to catch a good bass. Im going to try and go to the passaic river from friday to monday. I really want to catch some stripers and pike. Weathers been so bad lately. Raining non stop it sucks no fishing for like a week or two now. On saturday I might be able to go with my dad to work and go fish behind his job in a stream. Really dont think I can catch trout off a fly. They are stocked in the stream.
Went to wooddale county park today where there is like a 2-3 acre lake. Its absolutely loaded with huge bass. A guy told me that last year someone caught a huge bass and he sent it into field and stream and it was number 49. I dont know how to find it. But the guy said it was over 8lbs easily. I caught a couple smaller ones today nothing over 1.5 lbs not even worth pictures. I saw the official biggest bass of my life today. This guy was over 2' long and about 5" wide. I tried almost everything I had except maybe a couple lures. I could not catch this monster no matter what and it got very skittish when I got about 1' close to it. I wish I could have gotten a picture but there was a terrible glare and you couldnt see anything. As soon as I gave up on him I start to walk away and I see a guy and we start talking. I told him I saw an uncatchable monster and he tells me he tried everything last week also, and then he caught it on a live bluegill. Didnt have a weight but he said it was over 5lbs easily. Im hoping to go catch it soon if I can.
