I know a lot of you on here don't like paylaker's, but I don't care. We caught these last night at Cedar Lake in Ohio, we caught 6, biggest was 29lbs and smallest was 21lb. Biggest fish of the night was caught down from me and it was 57lbs, a big Flathead and a 49lb Flathead. It was my step-dads birthday, nice and easy place for him to get too and relax and catch some big fish.
if anybody is gonna be doing any vertical jigging or trolling (JD) check out this website.. http://www.victorylures.com/
hand made lures at an excellent price from a guy in Florida, his customer base seems really happy with the products and he has a facebook page you can message him at... figured I'd try to get the word out some, $5-6 bucks for a 5-7oz butterfly or knife jig is too good of a deal to pass up!
im jealous! and i love the picture of the bass in the back lol sorry for sidetracking it but i plan on doing that with my next pb. Hopefully a 9 pounder
Im staying with my cousin in pa for a couple weeks and she has 20 acres of land and to the left of her house is a 5 acre state swamp/pond sort of thing. During certain times of years its a big pond and around now half of it turns into a giant weedbed. I cant take a boat out on their i dont think but i will try and hit it tommorow with a topwater or some sort of bait. Also hard to get to as there are many fallen trees and 3'+ grass thats turning into trees lol. My aunt is scared of snakes so she wouldnt dare to go near their. So i might have to try and mow the grass all over that area and i might buy a new machete tommorow as mine miraculously disappeared. Im going to go to walmart and return my hank parker baitcaster. That thing is a pos and it cant cast for crap and gets constant birds nests while my skeete reese will outperform it ten times over with no birds nests. Not worth even owning. I plan on buying a new gamo or something to shoot for a couple weeks just to screw around with. And the best part about my aunts huge wildlife estuary thing next to her house is that they have only seen one person fish there and that was about two years ago. It has monster bass potential Watch me get a 15 lber on my first cast lol but my cousin and aunt have only seen one person fish there ever before so maybe there are some fat and hungry bass that want my baits. Ill see what i can do. Wish me Luck! Ill be trying to get out on my quad to maybe get around the one side of the lake in the mud but if not ill have to walk the shoreline.
thanks andrew! sounds like you should have a chance at some nice fish if they're in there... sounds like a great place to fish a weedless frog with all those snags and weeds!
