@chuby offbrands run as cheap as 1-2 USD and range well over 20 USD. I'd say the typical hardbait for what I use runs between 4 and 10 bucks for bass

- andrew if you use that orra in the salt I would recommend giving it a full service cleaning afterwards and as soon as you get done fishing rinse it lightly with fresh water. it really isnt' designed for the salt you'd be much better off using a spinning setup

I ended up not fishing but I swam instead

My GF and I went out to a new private pond, its where the KY State Record Grass Carp came from, was looking to catch Grass Carp but didnt see any, yet. We are going back Sat. We did catch a bunch of bass and my GF claims she had a bass on bigger than the one she caught, so hopefully she can catch it next time. We only took 2 photos because all the bass were about the same size as these two. We caught themon bread and buzzbait

I hope to post some big fish photos this weekend, Friday night I'm headed back to the paylake with my stepdad and brother as well so we should have some fish to take pics of.

went down to fish with my brother and nephews while they're on vacation, FINALLY managed a slot drum (only took me ya know 22 years) and taught my nephew how to flounder fish. first night he caught two short ones and last night he caught that 5lb doormat in the picture. we fished an inshore wreck saturday and caught 8 flounder (3 legal rest throwbacks) a bunch of "endangered" black sea bass, and a small triggerfish on a plug. I lost a small king or a monster spanish on a plug and got absolutely ROCKED by what had to be grouper 4 times while fishin with my spinning gear for flounder. 30# braid and my hand on the spool and whatever it was i'd get 1 or 2 cranks in if I was LUCKY before they just about pulled me out of the boat and stuck me in the structure. put out my bigger rod with a live ringtail but couldnt get a bite

Was about to call it a day and I decided to catch my rapala original topwater out one time. I added a trailer hook just because I kept losing fish on it. So im reeling in and I see a ripple in the water and then bam my lure goes completely underwater with no sight of it. My line gets pulled out crazy far. And then I tighten my spool and reel in as close as I can and then I see a white stomach. I honestly thought it was a huge snapping turtle. And then I just see this huge bass. I kid you not this thing could have fit my head in its mouth. It measured out at 24" 1/4" and my scale went to 8 lbs but then it was glitching out and going all over the place. Then I decided to call it an 8. 6 cars stopped to see it. A bunch of fisherman ran around the lake to see it. I was told its the biggest bass they have ever seen before. Then one guy I was talking to before asked how much it weighed. Then I told him it said 8. He said that is a huge bass definetly over 8. U would have to see it in person to see how big it actually was. This is the biggest bass ive ever seen in my life. It was caught on wooddale county parks small pond. Anyways here are the pictures. Forgive the quality the guy I had take them had an unsteady hand

Thanks! She was an absolute monster! And the worst part was my line snapped on my spinning rod as I had her halfway on land and I thought I was done then I quickly leaped and grabbed her lip.
