Fishing season 2k14!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well compared to last years opening day which I caught 2 small bows on, I'd say this year was pretty amazing! We went down to our spot at 6:30 this morning and fished from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

I caught 12 rainbows about 12", I caught 1 rainbow about 14", I caught 6 rainbows abor 15", and 1 rainbow 18". I have pics of them all but I don't feel like posting all of them. It was weird that I only got rainbows this year, haven't caught a brownie yet this year! Going out again tomorrow so hoepfully I have some more to post about.

That first trout I can tell that it's a hatchery strain trout judging from the fins and the gills.

99% percent of those trout of hatchery stocked. I should know since I helped stock and put about 150 fish in my hole. That 18"r fought like he!! Though!

Went fishing all day today and caught some fish. Mostly mini trout. Here is one that I have no clue what he is. I thought brook at first and then he looks like a rainbow with his coloring. Probably a hybrid

And here is a mysterious fish I caught on a crank bait somehow. It grabbed his lip. Measured about 1' 1/2" and really thin and long. I was thinking either a sucker or maybe a carp of some sort? Maybe a grass carp?

That's a brown trout, not a hybrid trout. And the mystery fish is just your regular white sucker.

Got a chain and some mini bass last night the big ones wouldn't hit for anybody I could see some monsters I'll try again today

That's a brown trout, not a hybrid trout. And the mystery fish is just your regular white sucker.

Browns have a mix of colors? I only suspected rainbow because of the transition from light to darker color and thanks

Cool! I've never been able to catch any kind of pike, have any advice to give?

Spinner baits and run them parallel to the shore line from now until June then crankbaits or large spinners through weed beds.

Caught 9 trout in 45 mins today at my local lake. Joes flys from bass pro are phenomenal for trout. I also got some pickerel on them too. No pics I had my kids with me so there was too much going on.
