Nice. What did you catch carp on?


Bread on top water. I thought this was the fish blowing up on the bread, but I don't think it was, it's either a common carp or a channel. I'm headed back there tonight so find out.

Nice! I fished for grass carp last year at a place that stocked them. I tried Doughball, nightcralwers, lures, bread and didn't catch one. Although I can't complain because I caught some BIG black crappie, some perch, some bass, and decent bluegills that day.

Some Grass Carp need to be trained to eat bread. I too have fished lakes with Grass Carp and they won't touch it. I did however try a leaf from a tree and caught one. Grass Carp are mainly top water feeders but they have no problem picking bread off the bottom or suspended.

weather bombed. never made it more than 5 miles out thursday. looking like next weekend is a wash as well. been lookin forward to the trips I had planned for all year and looks like the weather is going to wipe them all out, figures

Me too, I was going to go to potter county next weekend for wild bookie fly fishing but I guess not. Good thing my local fish club has their gigantic auction next week
