Just finished my last day of saltwater fishing for what will probably be a few years (I hope less time though). Caught an 8" Atlantic Croaker.

Well snapper season has finally closed and Im whooped! Its been a great year so far and Ive put my clients on some amazing catches if I do say so myself!
I'm in topsail island This week and I'll be doing a decent amount of fishing. Mostly in the surf and in the ICW. I got here yesterday afternoon and did a little fishing in the ICW later in the evening. Just throwing a mirrolure top water plug and walking it back in. Got a few hits but couldn't land any. Got a glimpse of one and it looked to be a trout. May go out again tonight.

Off to the Keys tomorrow! Staying on Little Torch Key and dragging the yaks down! Fishing isnt a priority but of course I will be wetting a line or two. I plan on stopping in Homestead on the way down for a bit to try for some peacocks!
All I've caught so far are lousy lizardfish. No luck in the surf. I netted some finger mullet for surf fishing tonight. May go to the pier.
