Fishing season 2k14!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Going dip netting and seining at one of my local creeks Saturday, not sure if that counts under fishing but hopefully I'll catch a few gamefish to post about :).

yeah was a bit strange but no complaints here, of course she hit the 20lb tackle instead of the 30 wide.... haha

- hope the weather holds for you man, solo blue water trip is definitely a milestone... i'll be down saturday cleaning fish for Military appreciation day morehead city and sunday hopefully doing some nearshore playing around with a chance of flounder and spanish... if i'm lucky maybe the man in the brown suit will rear his ugly head ;)

And of course the weather has gone to crap.

I had to cancel my kayak fishing charters Wed, Thursday and today. Had to cancel my blue water trip (I meant solo as the guide there was going to be two others on board) and Im probably going to cancel my kayak charter Sunday. Im booked Next week Mon-Thursday and frankly they are looking bad too. Nothing like trying to make a living outdoors in THE rainiest place in the country (by total inches) during one of the rainiest years on record! :irked:

We have already had well over 30" of rain in the area, probably closer to 40" and there is an area of interest that may end up being the years first tropical storm by late next week forming in the Gulf. What do you expect...its snapper season!

you do realize that the feds control the weather and when snapper season rolls around they turn the fan on... LOL. hate that for you man.. heading down to the coast to do some volunteer work for a military organization and hopefully try for some flounder or a cobia inshore sunday, gonna be blowing pretty good so hopefully the fish inside cooperate

Hey everyone, don't mean to bother, but im making a trip to Florida soon, any specific places i can catch some peacock bass or snake heads? Thanks! :)

Yes I just got back will put some pics soon, for snakeheads stay around Tamarac they are there, for Peacocks they are around Miami....

Had a fantastic weekend. Volunteered my time as a fish cleaner for the 9th morehead city military appreciation day and as always had a blast. Such a rewarding experience and I really contribute a lot to the process.... Stayed with a good friend overnight and today we went and messed around inshore a little since the wind was absolutely howling. 18 flounder with 4 keepers, biggest 18.5", fun day on the water when we weren't caring if we caught anything or not
