My clients have been getting some HOSS snapper this week. On a charter today I made one drop and landed my personal best in season snapper at 33"!! Freaking PIG!!

I know these aren't fish photos but we were looking for a pond on a WMA and couldn't find it. So I went looking for snakes and found a bunch.

2 Rat Snakes and 3 Ring-Neck Snakes, was hoping for a Milk Snake but didn't find one.

At first I found the Ring-Neck Snake, then another and another. Then I went looking for more and found a shed, I was pretty positive it was a Rat Snake shed by the size of it, took pics of it and then went back to the tarp. Soon as I lifted it up, there they were, together. I quickly caught the big one, took pics and let it go, then went after the smaller one, he wasn't very nice and wanted to lay into me. I let all the snakes go unharmed as I always do and also put back all the tarp just as I found it.

Found two turtles as well.

Fished erie yet again for the weekend. Caught the most fish Friday night: landed 26 fish all on a tiger daredevle. Mainly white bass, but also a good few white perch, and a 14" 3 pound smallie that drew a crowd when it broke water :). Caught 20 on Saturday: big bluegills, a p-seed, a few Warmouth, a small LMB, a few nice perch, a double white bass, and 3 pound sheaphead. Today wasn't that good, only caught 1 big yellow perch in the morning, I did however get to handfeed about 100 emerald shiners in the shallow portion of our marina!

Was on the Allegheny again tonight and probably the most productive night yet (in terms of total pounds). Caught 3 sheapheads (one was 23" 7 pounds, one was 16" 3 pounds, and the last was 22" 7 pounds), a small 6" rock bass, and a monster 21" 6 pound unID'd fish. I'm not sure what the I identified fish was but I'm thinking either a weird looking common carp or some type of buffalo, the tail was forked and it had no barbels if I remember correctly.

Not a common carp for sure.
