beast grass carp man!

Sure was, fishing with my gf and not much happening. I caught several small bass then she caught a big hybrid bluegill. Then I tossed some bread out and about 30 minutes later I see the cats and carp swimming in. She was ready to go but I kept saying one more cast, one more piece of bread, it only took only more piece of bread. I gathered up the stuff and just let my rod sit on the ground for a minute, picked it back up and then seen some swirls coming closer and closer to my bread, then I could see the line moving and then it was on, lasted about 15 minutes.

I Know his is really late but I was at erie last weekend. By far the most productive weekend that I've ever had!!!!! Caught 82 fish from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. I'd say 3/4 were white bass in the 9-11" range but I caught three lunkers that were all 14" and weighed 1.5, 2, and 2.5 pounds! Also caught a few nice white perch. Caught about 10 decent yellow perch, were all about 1 pound and measured 9-12". Landed the second walleye of the year that measured out at 16" 2 pounds. Caught the first erie rock bass of the year at 10" 1 pound. And last but certainly not least I caught 6 nice FW Drums that were in the 16-23" range and weighed 2-6 pounds! In addition to all these monsters after I caught he first fish on Sunday I was sitting on my boat and noticed the rod was almost in the water (it was literally touching the water) so I grabbed it and fought something big. It took out about 50 yards before I finally got ahold of it and was able to reel it halfway in. At that point it decided it wanted nothing to do with being caught so it took out nearly my entire spool before I realized I soon wouldn't have anymore line for it to take out. I tightened the drag one click so it wouldn't take it out as fast but then my line snapped. When I brought it in I could plainly see where the line as cut wasn't from a know breaking but from teeth! Sadly I didn't land it or even see it but I'm thinking it was either a large pike or a gigantic steelhead.image.jpg
