Hey guys Im going down to the dominican for two weeks in two week (no pun intended) and I plan on doing quite a bit of fishing, so can you guys help me on selecting tackle, bait, line, rod, whatever
I will be fishing off of docks, shore, cliffs, rocks pretty much anything that doesnt need a boat
here is a link to where the resort is and this will give you an idea
and if you go on google maps you can get pictures of the actual shore

Really depends on what you wanna catch. I'd take an assortment of hooks, sinkers, some wire leader, and a medium action spinning rod loaded with 10-12 lb test. Small enough to make the smaller fish fun, but still enough backbone to land a larger fish if one shows. For bait, I'd probably stick with baitfish, squid, and shrimp. Try a double hook bottom rig, the lower bait squid, the upper one mix it up until you find what works.

I would take a smaller rod spun with braid so that you can still hang with the big boys and catch smaller fish. When I went to Belize I took a peen captiva 4000 and a penn travel, medium action three piece rod. I would take a decent sized spoon, some crankbaits, and then various hooks, sinkers, bobbers, etc for live bait.
