I can guarantee it was killed as humanely as possible and not left to dry in the sun. But I would never release a noxious fish like a carp or tilapia back into the wild. it isn't a native fish and doesn't belong. I think you are unable to comprehend the devastation that these fish cause the Australian habitat. They make the native fish that live in this dam like the yellow belly, catfish, snub nosed gar and even saratoga a less chance of survival because they ave to compete for food with this fish that is in its total prime and has little to no predators and breeds like crazy. I don't think ignorance has ever done anyone any good, and pretending not to know what it is is just as bad as releasing it there in the first place.
