I wish I could keep one of those alive! It must be nice to be able to pull huge aros out the water like that!

I wouldn't call them wild aros, at least not most of them. The silvers are not native to SG & most of them, even the greens in the pics could be actually fish released by owners giving up the hobby or even for religious reasons.

The Chinese especially believe that if you make a wish & release something away..ie. turtles or even aros..your wish will come true. I have seen some people doing it, on wesak day they release doves etc. It is also said that should you find such a object/animal, it is not wise to take it.
