fishing with cocktail shrimp and calamari this weekend

i buy frozen shrimp and use that, and i catch everything but catfish with pro cut squid where i am

that must be a giant shrimp to catch a very hungry very small catfish.... i use shrimp all the time for cats $5 in shrimp go a long way.....

i generally like raw no deveined with shells for cats but cocktail will probably work too

we use shrimp for giant steelhead and squid for coho salmon here in michigan you also get a few freshwater drum and channel cats on shrimp. But I would not say shrimp is a great choice for bait for catfish. Other baits are much better such as chicken liver, fresh cut bluegills or shad any baitfish, Chunk sucker is hard to beat any day. There ars so many baits that are a better choice then shrimp for channel cats.
