fishing??????

The daylight fish were peacock bass and payara, I could not see the night time jumpers very well but from the size and shape, as well as the schooling and leaping, I would bet they were one of the Curimatas, a prochilodus relative. The is a pic from a Brazilian government site.

As an aside I have had mullet do the same thing off the beach at Galvaston, Texas.
