fishkeeping gettin out of hand

seriously, once u get into the hobby, u cant stop. if i had a house like u i'd have it PACKED with animals. i have a 30 gallon freshwater (wanna get a tiger oscar), 60 gallon for a red tail boa, 20 gallon for a ball python, tortoise enclosure, pacman frog enclosure, 10 gallon for a savannah monitor and a 30 gallon saltwater with sump all in my room. it kind of is like a disease

Talk about out of hand.My wife just made me go to Target instead of Petco to get food for the bird so I couldn't come home w/ fish. She caught me a couple days ago sneaking in some cory's and a copy of TFH when I was supposed to be "looking" at plants for my next set-up!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that is addicted, I've only been in the hobby for a year now and I'm already up to 6 tanks, plus 1 betta tank in my sons room which started out in the bathroom until he stole it and 1 goldfish bowl in his room as well. And to think I started out with just 1 20 gallon tank within 1 week I picked up a 55 and have progressed from there. I am now looking for a bigger home because I'm out of space for more tanks and I can't get enough, plus I have already promised my little boy that the next tank we get would be for sting rays, he's been bugging me to get 1 since we started :)

Thats only the beginning.

i had 2 5foots 2 4foots 3 3foots and heaps of little tanks in my room. my mum got so sick of the mold (and smell) she gave me half the garage to move them all out. i had 0 tanks in my room for a grand total of 2 weeks then i got another, and another, and another....now my rooms full again! ill have to take the loun ge room next!

This is SAD! I've discovered that you only need 1 tank! Maybe two. Yes, I love the birds, the reptiles AND the fish. But all you need is one tank per biotype so choose wisely.

By the Way... How large of a tank would I need to house SA fish, birds and reptiles to live happily ever after. Keep in mind when you give these dimensions that I want the tank to be able to be self-contained where I'd only have to add water from evaporation...
