I think we can agree to disagree on whether to cycle with or without fish.
One would have to hope that any responsible fish keeper would give it at least a little thought before introducing a living creature into a potentially toxic environment.
The only other conclusion one could come up with is that the aforementioned "responsible fish keepers" just don't care if they inflict needless pain or discomfort on those they have chosen to be resposible for.
No guilt trip there.
