The refugium has 2 sock filters for intake, and an area for pump return. Just plants, but in dirted substrate. The quality of the tank is really good, especially given their low price.
The tank is only a few months old, but looks more established because I moved ferns from my other tanks. I cultivated the foreground plants prior to setting up the tank.
Fish to be added to the tank: 100 Cardinal tetra (my last group of 70 got wiped out by a small wild group I bought from liveaquaria; 2 week quarantine); 8 elephant nose; 10 panda garra; 30 Stiphodon gobies (all species). These are currently in quarantine except for the Cardinal tetras, which I will add last this time after extended period of quarantine.
