When you guys see one of your fish start to deteriorate, like swimming on its side, having boyancy problems, ect, what do you do?

I used to quaranteen them and try to revive them(meds) only to have them die weeks later with the same lingering symptoms the whole time.

Now I don't waste my time. If they don't recover in a few days on their own, I write them off and give them the great Wet Willy ride in the sky via the great flush. I figure, why risk the rest of the population? I don't even think they had any sort of pathogen, just getting old or whatever. But once they die, just in the time it takes me to get home from work, their corpes compromises the water quality big time.

would you flush a dying dog down the toilet?

You can't. They don't fit. You have to use the garbage disposal.

But yeah, if it meant endangering a healthy household full of dogs to keep a sick one, then yes I would. That would be presuming that there was little hope of recovery, like fish seem to usually have. Dogs you can at least take to an expert, like a Vet.
