There's a few 55's on my craigslist right now between $50-75.

personally I think I would feel safer replacing it with a brand new tank rather than a used one. you never know how used tanks have been handled and/or abused, drained down, left to dry out etc.

with a new tank, some of the inherent risk of leaks is minimized IMO.

True. I reseal used tanks, needed or not. Just a force of habit. So I don't worry about leaking (At least with small ones 10-90).

I'd say go for cragslist for cheap tanks...

15 bones isn't much to work with, but you can put a "WTB" thread up in the MFK - Buy and Sell forum.

You can get a decent size rubbermaid tote at Wallys' for the time being while you save up more money.

Or

Borrow a credit card and get a new tank...
