I am considering getting 1 if not 2 FL Softshell turtles but i have never kept them before and i was wondering if i could get some/any advice.

Also can you keep 2 males together once they are mature or will they fight?

Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks all and a late Merry Christmas to everyone!

they will fight. DO NOT get one if you cant provide either a 240 gallon tank, or a pond. they can get two feet across.

Thanks for the replys!
@ crayfishguy: I was told the males dont get that big only the females do, is that true?! Ok i will only get one. I will be getting a male about 3".
@ Kevinfleming: So i see you said no tank mates at all...because i have a couple of big O's i was planning on keeping with him

I have kept a couple (not at the same time) in the past with tank mates (oscars, pbass, gars, aros, etc) without issues. Don't keep a pleco in with them though because they like to suck sores on their shells.

if you were to get a male it can get up to 13" so a 130 gallon tank would be a minimum, or a pond.
