The one that I suspect is only 3". He seemed to be the only one paying any attention to the flagtail.

When this happened to my VATF, despite the fact that he was still alive and other than having trouble swimming, acting normal, I euthanized him. He would have never been able to live a normal, happy life after that.

I would have atleast gave him a chance like a week or do see how he adapts. But how did you euthanize him? I euthanized a 25" pacu with clove oil

Into the freezer. My guy was much worse than this flagtail though, it was about 1/3rd of his body. Most of his anal fin was missing as well.

TBH, not giving it another chance is one of my biggest regrets in fishkeeping.

Update: it appears as if it is growing back a little.

Uhh,a little?...Looks like it has lost and regrown damned near a whole new tail fin in the span of a few days.
