FLAGTAIL

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
it is said that flagtails dont do well in a pair? was planing to add another

I got pretty lucky with mine... it was the last fish in the store.. they sometimes do pop up randomly.. usually from ppl who trade them because their fei feng is harassing the tankmates and dont want to bother with them.. I know this.. because my fei feng went after my Gar's slime coat and died.. :(
I learned that if u leave enough vegges in the tank.. hey will leave other fish alone..

I think rich, infinite aquatics has some right now as juveniles....

Anyways.. heres mine.. at 7"
sorry for the unclear pic.. he swims too fast for me to snap a picture..

love the colouration and pattern of the caudal fin

thanx for the pics, i have to wait now till my bigger tank is ready as i couldn't find any and my tinfoils all died and i have 3 12" tsns and i think a flagtail wouldn't last to long in with the cats...

just gotten another juvenile , its seem its doing ok as a pair , even swim together , will
moniter further , tsn is quite aggressive right?

Here's a couple of pics of my flag tail in my 350G. He is about 12-13" and a great fish. I highly reccomend you get one, it keeps my tank very clean too. I dont know if they get on with tinfoils, i would have thought they would, it hasnt shown any aggression towards any of my fish.
Im in the UK so i have no idea where you can get one from.
Hope this helps.:D

I had a group of 5 of them and there was some chasing, but never any damage. I had 1 originally and picked up 4 more from a member here. The ones i had were kept with some bichirs and they never touched them either. I really liked them and im sure i will have more someday.
